About this opportunity

EKKLESIA Tanzania is a Christ-centered ministry serving children, families, and communities through Christian education, inclusive education, special-needs support, family support, discipleship, community service, leadership development, and practical Christian ministry. We welcome international Christian volunteers, mission teams, students, interns, churches, and other mission-minded participants who desire to serve in Tanzania while experiencing meaningful cross-cultural learning and Christian fellowship. Participants may contribute through Christian education and learning support, children and family support, community service, Christian ministry and discipleship, youth engagement, practical ministry activities, leadership and mentoring, digital support, fundraising and resource mobilization, and other activities suited to their skills and interests. Participants are expected to serve respectfully, learn from the local community, work as part of a team, and follow EKKLESIA’s safeguarding, conduct, supervision, and programme requirements. Activities involving children or people with special needs are assigned according to suitability and safeguarding considerations and are carried out under appropriate supervision. Remote participation may also be arranged where appropriate. This opportunity is designed for those who wish to combine Christian service, cultural exchange, learning, fellowship, and practical contribution while engaging with a Tanzanian ministry. This is a volunteer opportunity and not paid employment. What to bring / training: Participants will receive appropriate orientation and guidance from the EKKLESIA team before beginning their activities. Volunteers should be willing to participate respectfully in a cross-cultural Christian ministry environment and work cooperatively with the local team. Specific activities and responsibilities will be agreed in advance according to the participant’s skills, experience, interests, and availability. All participants must follow EKKLESIA’s safeguarding, conduct, confidentiality, supervision, and programme requirements. Activities involving children or people with special needs require appropriate suitability, authorization, and supervision.
