Most students love the idea of serving — but service days are scattered, sign-ups are confusing, and no one is walking with them week to week. Faith stays in the classroom. Compassion stays theoretical.
The Hands of Jesus was started by students, for students. It's one place to find real volunteer opportunities, launch a chapter at your school or church, and grow together in the kind of faith that shows up with its sleeves rolled up.
We're not asking for money. We're asking for your hands, your time, and your presence — the gifts that quietly change lives.
Founder story
During the summer before our junior year, we went on a mission trip to Madagascar. There, we were a part of street cleaning initiatives, critical supply drop offs, and a vbs. After, we recognized that many of those needs were right next door. That was the seed for Hands of Jesus. We saw how many organizations in our area were in need of volunteers, and at the same time we saw service-hearted friends without an outlet to serve. To bridge that gap, we created Hands of Jesus. Now, we want to start student-led chapters of our club in any school that needs us to connect students with the service they live for. With our website we hope to provide anyone, not just students, with the resources to find service opportunities that need and fit them.
