What Hands of Jesus is
Hands of Jesus is a platform that connects Christians — especially students, schools, and churches — with volunteer opportunities offered by host organizations. We help publish listings, coordinate signups, and support chapters. We are not the on-site event organizer for every opportunity, and we do not independently supervise every event listed on the site.
Who is responsible for what
- Host organizations are responsible for the on-site supervision, safety, training, screening of adults working with minors, insurance, and compliance with local laws for their events. They are also responsible for the accuracy of the listings they publish through the platform.
- Volunteers are responsible for reading each opportunity, following host instructions, obeying school, church, and local policies, and — if under 18 — obtaining parent or guardian permission where required.
- Chapter leaders are responsible for following their school, church, or organization's policies and for representing Hands of Jesus honorably.
Publication is not endorsement
Publishing an opportunity, chapter, or hub on the site is not a guarantee of complete safety, quality, or suitability. We review submissions for basic fit, but we do not independently audit every organization or event. Use good judgment and reach out to the host with questions before signing up.
Your account
- Keep your login information private. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- Provide accurate information when you sign up for opportunities or submit listings.
- You can request account deletion at any time on the Deletion Request page.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Post misleading, unsafe, discriminatory, fraudulent, or unlawful listings or content.
- Use the site to harass or endanger any person, especially minors.
- Attempt to break the site's security or scrape private data.
- Impersonate another person, organization, chapter, or church.

Moderation
We may edit, hide, or remove listings, accounts, or messages that appear to violate these terms — including anything inappropriate, misleading, unsafe, discriminatory, or fraudulent — with or without notice.
Content you submit
You keep ownership of the content you submit (like opportunity descriptions or chapter stories). By submitting it, you give Hands of Jesus permission to display and share it on the platform in connection with the mission.
Third-party links and integrations
The site may link to host organization websites, maps, or resources that we do not control. We are not responsible for the content or practices of third-party sites.
Disclaimer of warranties
The platform is provided "as is." We do our best to keep it accurate and reliable, but we do not guarantee that every listing is perfect, safe for every volunteer, or free of errors. See the Volunteer and Opportunity Disclaimer for more detail.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Hands of Jesus is not liable for injuries, damages, or losses arising from a volunteer event, a host organization's conduct, or a user's decision to participate. Host organizations and volunteers are responsible for their own conduct on-site.
Changes
We may update these terms as the platform grows. When we do, we will update the "last updated" date above.
