“Being a part of the Hands of Jesus club has been an incredible experience, and has truly helped me grow in my faith. I’ve enjoyed serving the community around me, for it makes me feel closer to God by serving my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. One of my favorite projects was a day when we served at Love INC. That day, we did yard work, which in itself is nothing special, but it reminded me that God can use even ordinary tasks for His purpose. Spending the day doing yard work at the church gave me the opportunity to not only serve in a meaningful way, but showed me that honoring God doesn’t always require some big gesture. Experiences like that have strengthened my faith and made me more grateful for the opportunity to serve others through Hands of Jesus.”

Serving others helped me better understand the selflessness of Jesus and showed me what it means to give my time back to God. Coming together with others who all have a common goal gave me sense of community that made me want to come back and do it again. They were on time, put their phones in a pile so no one was tempted to check them, had great attitudes, worked incredibly hard, had a fun time together, were extremely respectful and accomplished a mountain of work in 3 hours! Your students represented their Lord and Savior and Valor extremely well & have already offered to come back when we need them.”
