About this opportunity

EKKLESIA Tanzania is a Christ-centered ministry serving children, families, and communities through Christian education, inclusive education, special-needs support, family support, discipleship, community service, leadership development, and practical Christian ministry. We welcome international Christian volunteers interested in supporting Christian camps, retreats, outdoor activities, youth engagement, recreation, discipleship, mentoring, and experiential Christian learning. Volunteers may assist with Christian camp activities, children and youth programmes, group activities and recreation, discipleship activities, mentoring and encouragement, educational and creative activities, practical camp arrangements, and team activities and event support. Volunteers will serve alongside the EKKLESIA team and are expected to participate respectfully, work cooperatively, and follow all agreed safeguarding, conduct, supervision, and programme requirements. Activities involving children or people with special needs will be assigned according to suitability and safeguarding considerations and carried out under appropriate supervision. This is a volunteer opportunity and not paid employment. What to bring / training: Volunteers will receive appropriate orientation and guidance from the EKKLESIA team before beginning their activities. Volunteers should be willing to work as part of a Christian ministry team and participate respectfully in camp, retreat, outdoor, youth, and discipleship activities. Specific tasks and responsibilities will be agreed with EKKLESIA in advance. Volunteers must follow EKKLESIA's safeguarding, conduct, confidentiality, supervision, and programme requirements, particularly when activities involve children or people with special needs.
