AI & Digital Innovation Volunteer

About this opportunity

EKKLESIA Tanzania is a Christ-centered ministry serving children, families, and communities through Christian education, inclusive education, special-needs support, family support, discipleship, community service, leadership development, and practical Christian ministry. We welcome international and virtual volunteers with skills or interest in artificial intelligence, digital innovation, workflow automation, productivity tools, responsible AI use, and technology-enabled organizational improvement. Volunteers may assist with identifying practical AI applications for EKKLESIA, developing responsible AI-assisted workflows, improving administrative and documentation processes, supporting research and information management, developing educational and communication resources, exploring digital tools for fundraising and resource mobilization, automating appropriate repetitive tasks, and improving organizational productivity and digital systems. The focus is on practical, responsible, and sustainable technology solutions that strengthen EKKLESIA’s ministry and benefit the communities we serve. This is a volunteer opportunity and not paid employment. Remote participation is welcome where appropriate. What to bring / training: Volunteers will receive appropriate orientation and guidance from the EKKLESIA team before beginning their activities. Volunteers should have relevant experience or interest in artificial intelligence, digital tools, automation, research, data or information management, or technology-enabled workflows. Specific access, tasks, and responsibilities will be agreed with EKKLESIA in advance. Volunteers should use technology responsibly, maintain confidentiality, follow EKKLESIA’s organizational and safeguarding guidelines, and obtain approval before implementing significant changes to systems, workflows, or digital accounts.
